For Therapy Consultation Services

Payment terms and charges

During your session with us, we may conduct administrative matters as part of our Services as may be efficacious, including scheduling follow-up sessions or communicating important information with persons to which we have been authorised by you. Time spent on such matters is integral to our Services and will be part of your session.

We may extend your session to allow extra time where necessary. Extensions are charged in blocks of 15 minutes unless otherwise stated.

Different rates will apply depending on the chosen Service. Please check with us for the full list of rates and charges.

Please arrive on time for your appointment, we are unable to extend the duration of your appointment if you are late. Fees payable for your appointment remain the same regardless of the time you arrive. Refunds are not provided once a session has started.

Cancellation policy

We have a strict policy on cancellations and no-shows. If you are unable to make a scheduled appointment, please reschedule in advance so that another person may utilise your allotted time. Cancellations or no-shows are subject to the following charges:

We also retain discretion on increasing the charges payable for cancellations happening more than once.

In the event that a consultant falls sick or is otherwise unable to attend a scheduled session, we will notify you as soon as possible. You will be given the option to reschedule the session or receive a full refund.

For The Upper Room (Therapy Room Reservations)

1. Reservations and Payment

• All room reservations must be made through our online platform or via phone at least 24 hours in advance.
• Full payment is required at the time of reservation to secure your room.
• We accept major credit cards for payment.

2. Cancellations and Refunds

• Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the reservation time will receive a full refund.
• Cancellations made 24-48 hours before the reservation will receive a 50% refund.
• No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the reservation.
• Any modifications to the booking time must be made at least 24 hours in advance, subject to availability

Payment, Cancellation and Refund Policy

A. Self-Guided Online Courses

1. Enrollment and Payment

• Full payment is required at the time of purchase.
• Access to the self-guided course will be provided once payment has been successfully processed.
• Payment may be made using the payment methods available on our online platform.

2. Refunds and Course Access

• As self-guided courses are digital products with access provided upon purchase, payments are non-refundable once course access has been granted, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
• Refunds will not be provided for change of mind, failure to complete the course, or non-use of the course after access has been provided.
• Course access is for the registered participant and may not be shared, transferred, reproduced or redistributed unless expressly permitted by AO Psychology.
• If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from accessing a course you have purchased, please contact AO Psychology so that we can assist with restoring access.

B. 1-to-1 Guided Courses

This section applies to AO Compass programmes or other courses that include scheduled 1-to-1 guided sessions with an AO Psychology professional.

1. Enrollment and Payment

• Full payment is required at the time of enrollment unless another payment arrangement has been expressly agreed with AO Psychology.
• Your place in the programme and any scheduled 1-to-1 sessions are confirmed only after payment has been received.
• Where a guided programme includes self-guided digital course materials, access to those materials may be provided upon enrollment.

2. Cancellations and Rescheduling

• Requests to reschedule a 1-to-1 guided session must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled session and are subject to availability.
• Cancellations made more than 48 hours before a scheduled guided session are eligible for a 50% refund of the applicable guided-session fee.
• No refund will be provided for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled session or for non-attendance.
• Where digital course content has already been made available, the digital component of the programme is non-refundable.
• Missed, unused or incomplete guided sessions are not refundable unless otherwise agreed by AO Psychology.

C. Live Online Classes, Courses and Workshops

This section applies to scheduled live online classes, group courses and workshops, including sessions delivered via Zoom or another online platform.

1. Enrollment and Payment

• Enrollment should be completed through our online platform or via AO Psychology at least 24 hours before the scheduled session, unless otherwise stated.
• Full payment is required at the time of enrollment to secure your place.
• Participants will receive the relevant joining instructions or online meeting link after successful enrollment.

2. Cancellations, Refunds and Changes

• Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled class, course or workshop will receive a 50% refund.
• No refund will be issued for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled session or for non-attendance.
• Requests to move to another available session must be made at least 48 hours in advance and are subject to availability.
• Places are not automatically transferable to another participant unless approved by AO Psychology.
• Where a live programme also includes digital materials or self-guided content that has already been made accessible, the digital component is non-refundable.

Cancellation by AO Psychology

If AO Psychology needs to cancel or reschedule a scheduled 1-to-1 guided session, live class, course or workshop, participants will be offered an alternative date or an appropriate refund for the affected session.
